Stopa No

Because there’s so much going on around the BOTAS 66 brand lately, we have decided to start publishing an occasional bilingual (CZE/ENG) newspaper, which would inform our customers about all this news. It’s called Stopa (means footprint in Czech), and it’s first issue came out at the beginning of October on the occasion of Prague design and fashion week – Designblok 2014. The contents of the magazine are not focused only on recent news, but also on interesting moments from the brand’s history.

The first issue brings a closer presentation of three new models that were put on the market for Autumn/Winter 2014, a review of the Fortune project prepared for this year’s Designblok, an article about the newly established music publishing company closely tied to BOTAS 66, a sneak peak into the manufactory, or a presentation of the recently opened store in Prague’s Žižkov. We didn’t forget about our pets, which you can read about in the article Animal Friendly, or a crossword for those moments of boredom. We hope you like the contents and if you have any ideas or comments, please contact us at info@botas66.com.

The title Stopa (=Footprint) suggests that the magazine holds an imprint of the time it talks about. It holds more stories than it might seem at first. Firstly, it was printed in a press run of 10 000 copies in the first week of September 2014 as the very last periodical printed in printing house Libertas (formerly Svoboda), and thus finalized its 22 years of service and an enormous amount of printed matter. We are sorry for this, but on the other hand, we are glad that we could be a part of the history of this legendary Prague-based printing house. You can see the printing process for yourself in the attached photographs.
