B66 for President

In the current world of fashion and design, it is popular to say that products are unique or from a limited edition. If they are numbered, it’s even better, even though this number goes into the hundreds and even thousands. Where is the boundary of what is still a unique piece and what is not? In the case of BOTAS 66, we can be sure with the model Václavky.

This model was designed and made in 2009 on request of the town Skuteč, as a special gift for the president of the Czech Republic, Václav Klaus, and his wife Livia. The representative model Classic in our national colors and the Prague Castle embroidered on the label was a clear choice. The shoe is perfect fot the Castle, or for a game of tennis. It’s a shame that we didn’t get the chance to design a pair also for the previous president. His model would probably look different, more subtle and with a heart.
