66 Gallery

In December 2009, from the initiative of the designers of the BOTAS 66 label, in collaboration with Radoslav Kuba from the Artport agency, the unique space of the first BOTAS 66 shop and small gallery was opened in Konviktská Street, Prague 1.

The interior of 66 Gallery was made according to the design by studio A1 Architects, and it was based on the strong visual of the characteristic yellow shoeboxes. The presentation and storage could be fused into one compact space. A1 Architects received a wide range of awards for this sophisticated solution, among this special recognition in the Interior category Grand Prix 2010 National Prize for Architecture.

Thanks to the unconventional interior solution and the overall concept, 66 Gallery quickly attracted the attention of the media home and abroad. One of the most noteworthy was from the internationally recognized magazine Wallpaper, which selected 66 Gallery as one of the 10 most interesting new shops in the world in their May 2010 issue. At home, the shop earned points in the Czech Grand Design 2010 awards, where it placed 2nd in the category Shop of the Year.

A change came in June 2011, both for the name of the space and its function. 66 Gallery was replaced by Botas Concept Store, under which the exhibition space was suspended and the whole shop reoriented mainly onto retail and promotion of the BOTAS 66 products and other additional assortment of carefully picked Czech and foreign brands. Botas Concept Store had functioned in Konviktská Street until the end of December 2012, when it was definitely closed down. Now a new space is open in Křížkovského Street in Prague, right under the Žižkov TV Tower.
